Latinos in Tech Panel at SXSW 2010 (Pictures)

I am finally back from SXSW interactive.  Those of us who went had a phenomenal time and we are looking forward to bringing many more friends with us next year!  I will be doing a few blog posts reflecting on my experience on SXSW in the coming days but in the interim wanted to leave you with a few pictures from our first ever Latinos in Tech Meet Up at SXSW this year.  Enjoy!  And thank you to Zunostudios for sharing your exceptional photographic talents with us! 1. Count Me Latino Census Rally

    Wednesday, March 31, 2010

    6:00pm - 8:00pm

    Casa Chapala
    101 San Jacinto Blvd.
    Austin, Texas

On March 31, 2010 the Austin chapter of NHPO, along with other HOWTO (Hispanic Organizations Working Together as One) member organizations, will be hosting the Count Me Latino Rally and Networking Mixer at Casa Chapala's newest location - 101 San Jacinto.

Every household in the country will receive a Census questionnaire in the last weeks of March. The questionnaires should be answered and sent back in the return envelope by April 1, National Census Day.

If we are not counted properly our community could miss out on our share of $400 billion in federal dollars annually. Historically the Hispanic community has been under counted. We can no longer afford to overlooked.

The Count Me Latino Rally is an event that brings Hispanic organizations and their members together on the eve of National Census Day to demonstrate the size and strength of the Latino community in central Texas.
